I see this waiting game played in companies. We'll work on this really important thing once we get over this hump or that settles down or when so and so comes on board. Problem is, six months down the road, things usually aren't any calmer, clearer, or better defined.
The same goes for individuals. Deciding to jump in when the water is right never gives me an edge. It only makes me wish I had started sooner, after the fact.
This reminds me of the premise of the book, The Power of Now--that now is the only time we really have. The future is not here yet, the past is done with. Our playground, our canvas to create from is now.
Decide what you'll start in 2008 and get going.....
